Pouya Asrar - Thermal Engineer and Advanced Packaging Leader

Pouya Asrar is an experienced thermal engineer with experience testing, simulating, and validating consumer electronic devices at companies such as Amazon and Tesla. His present position with Samsung’s advanced packaging team centers on delivering best-in-class packaging solutions. As a senior manager, he oversees all aspects of customer engagement, from initial discussions to ensuring alignment between internal execution and deliverables with client needs. Supporting technical evaluations and engineering, Pouya Asrar engages with sales and engineering teams across the product lifecycle.

Dr. Asrar’s experience in mechanical systems spans specialized knowledge of semiconductor packaging. In his role with Amazon, he focused on testing, refining, and improving smart home devices. Performing mechanical analysis of the firm’s Alexa devices, he took end-to-end design ownership. With Tesla Motors, Dr. Asrar oversaw simulated and experimental thermal validation tests for electronic components at the system and component levels.

Dr. Asrar is a longtime piano enthusiast who finds it meaningful and interesting to learn and perform complex pieces. Also a sports car enthusiast, he is passionate about understanding the engineering principles behind today’s high-performance vehicles.
